The most wonderful time of the year just got even more magical!
If there is one place on earth that does the holidays right, it is Walt Disney World. From the moment you step through the gates and spot Cinderella Castle dressed in shimmering lights to the first sip of a warm Joffrey’s coffee at Disney Springs, the holiday season at Disney World is unlike anything else. And the 2026 holiday season? It is shaping up to be absolutely incredible!
Whether you are planning a trip with little ones (I see you, toddler moms), escaping for a grown-up holiday getaway, or looking for the perfect way to close out the year as a family, this guide covers everything you need to know about the holidays at Disney World 2026.
When Does the Holiday Season Start at Disney World?
The 2026 holiday season at Walt Disney World officially runs from November 13, 2026 through January 6, 2027. That gives you nearly two months to soak up the festive decor, special entertainment, themed food and drinks, holiday merchandise, and so much more across all four theme parks and Disney Springs.

Magic Kingdom: Where Holiday Magic Comes to Life
Magic Kingdom is the heartbeat of the Disney World holiday experience, and 2026 is bringing back some fan favorites along with plenty of sparkle.
Frozen Holiday Surprise!
Get ready for an absolute showstopper, y’all. Olaf and over 100 of his snowgie siblings decorate Cinderella Castle with garlands, ornaments, and wreaths in this beloved nighttime spectacular. Anna, Kristoff, and Elsa all make appearances, and Elsa’s transformation of the castle into a glowing ice palace is pure magic. Do not miss it!
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away
On non-party nights, guests can catch the spectacular Disney Starlight parade twice nightly. This is a can’t-miss for parade lovers of all ages.
Jingle Cruise
The beloved Jingle Cruise returns for 2026! Your trusty skipper will navigate you through the world’s most festive (and punny) jungle waters. The holiday theming even extends into the queue, so arrive a little early to take it all in. It’s one of my personal favorite overlays!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
This is THE holiday event at Magic Kingdom. On select nights, this separately ticketed party transforms the park with festive entertainment, holiday overlays on classic rides, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, sweet treats, and so much more. Spots sell out fast, so booking early is a must.
PRO TIP: Disney Starlight will not run on Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party nights, so plan accordingly based on what your family wants most!

EPCOT: Holiday Traditions from Around the World
EPCOT’s holiday offering is one of the most unique experiences in all of Walt Disney World, and it is included with your regular park admission — no separate ticket needed! Honestly, no one talks about this perk enough!
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays Presented by AdventHealth
Running from November 27 through December 30, 2026, this beloved festival brings holiday flavors, entertainment, and traditions from around the world straight to the World Showcase. Think incredible food booths, seasonal beverages, and live entertainment that will have your whole family smiling from ear to ear.
Whether you are sampling holiday dishes from across the globe or listening to choirs fill the air with song, EPCOT during the holidays is an experience all its own.

Hollywood Studios: Cinematic Holiday Charm
Disney’s Hollywood Studios offers a uniquely cinematic take on the holiday season, with some truly special moments waiting for families here.
Sunset Seasons Greetings
Each evening, the famous Hollywood Tower Hotel becomes a canvas for dazzling holiday projections. Watch as it transforms into a Muppets gingerbread masterpiece, a Toy Story toy hotel, a snowy corner of Arendelle, and a Dickensian village from Mickey’s Christmas Carol. It is 100% free with park admission and absolutely worth staying for after dark!
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
The Royal Historians of Arendelle are back with a holiday twist on this fan-favorite show. Sing along with Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff, watch moments from the film on screen, and enjoy an unforgettable holiday finale featuring Olaf. Projected lyrics make it perfect for the whole family.
Toy Story Land Holiday Decor and Characters
Head to Toy Story Land for oversized seasonal decorations and Woody, Jessie, and Buzz Lightyear dressed in their holiday best. These make for absolutely adorable holiday card photos.
Minnie’s Holiday Dine at Hollywood & Vine
Looking for a festive character dining experience? Minnie’s Holiday Dine features Minnie Mouse and friends in seasonal attire, festive music and decor, and a gorgeous menu that includes oven-roasted herbed chicken, carved beef tenderloin, seared salmon, and showstopping desserts like seasonal bread pudding and Mississippi mud pie. Advance dining reservations are strongly recommended.

Animal Kingdom: Wild Holiday Fun
Yes, even Disney’s Animal Kingdom gets fully into the holiday spirit, and it is more festive than you might expect!
Merry Menagerie
One of the most magical touches at Animal Kingdom, the Merry Menagerie features stunning artisan-sculpted puppet animals — penguins, reindeer, polar bears, and foxes — roaming Discovery Island. They make for absolutely dreamy holiday photos and are a favorite among kids and adults alike.
Tree of Life Awakenings: Holiday Edition
After sunset each evening, the iconic Tree of Life comes to life with wintry tales and holiday music in this dazzling light show. It begins at sunset and runs approximately every 10 minutes until park closing. Find a good spot and let the magic wash over you.
Mickey and Minnie in Holiday Attire
Stop by Adventurers Outpost to meet Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse dressed in their best holiday explorer outfits. A holiday card photo moment you will want to capture!

Disney Springs: Shopping, Snow, and So Much More
Disney Springs is the perfect complement to your park days during the holiday season, with free admission and tons to see and do.
Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll Presented by AdventHealth
Wander through a stunning collection of elaborately themed Christmas trees inspired by Disney, Pixar, and Star Wars. It is completely free and absolutely gorgeous — perfect for an evening stroll between dinner reservations.
Nightly Snow at Town Center
That’s right: even Central Florida gets a little wintry magic. Nightly “snowfall” at Town Center is a crowd-pleaser for guests of all ages.
Live Music at the AdventHealth Waterside Stage
On select nights, catch live regional and local bands at the outdoor stage. Grab a warm Joffrey’s coffee and some cheesy goodness from The Daily Poutine and enjoy the music in a magical open-air setting.
Holiday Overlay at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar
The beloved Indiana Jones-themed bar gets a festive makeover with seasonal bites, brews, and holiday decorations. A fun stop for the adults in your group!
Meet Santa Claus
Santa Claus will be visiting Disney Springs through December 24 for photos and holiday wishes. He also makes appearances across all four theme parks throughout the season.

Tips for Planning Your Disney World Holiday Trip
- Book early. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets WILL sell out. Dining reservations, especially for character meals like Minnie’s Holiday Dine, fill up fast.
- Stay on property. Disney Resort hotel guests enjoy complimentary transportation, early theme park entry, and easier access to everything the season has to offer.
- Check the party calendar. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a separate-ticket event on select nights. On those nights, Magic Kingdom closes to regular day guests early. Plan your park days accordingly!
- Go after dark. Many of the best holiday moments (Frozen Holiday Surprise!, Tree of Life Awakenings, Sunset Seasons Greetings, Disney Springs snowfall) are evening experiences. If you’ve got young children, a midday nap is key!
