Disney cruise families, your next big adventure just opened for booking! As of today, October 19, 2026, anyone can book a sailing on the Disney Believe, Disney Cruise Line’s brand-new ship setting sail December 18, 2027.

And friends, I must say… this one is SO good! We’re talking the world’s first stage version of Encanto, a brand-new Frozen dinner show, a Moana-themed Grand Hall, and a two-story suite tucked inside the ship’s funnel. There’s a LOT of news out there right now… and you know I already filtered through the noise so you don’t have to! Here’s everything you need to know about the ship, from the shows and the food to the kids’ clubs, staterooms, and how to grab your spot.
Disney Believe Quick Facts
- First sailing: December 18, 2027
- Home port: Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
- Itineraries: 4- and 5-night cruises to The Bahamas and the Caribbean
- Island stops: Disney Castaway Cay, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, or both
- Ship class: the final ship in the Wish class, joining the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny
- Booking: open to the general public as of October 19, 2026
Here’s the thing about those shorter sailings: a 4- or 5-night cruise is the PERFECT first Disney cruise for families with little ones. Long enough to feel the magic, yet short enough that nobody melts down (parents included, am I right?).
The Theme: Believing in Yourself

Every Disney ship has its own story. The Disney Believe is all about characters who believe in themselves and their dreams. You’ll see it from the moment you spot the ship! Tinker Bell, as she first appeared in Peter Pan, is hand-painted across the bow, while Woody and Buzz Lightyear “write” the ship’s name across the stern with giant yellow crayons. Seriously, how cute is that?!

Step aboard and you’ll land in the Grand Hall, themed to Moana. A bronze statue of Moana with Pua and Heihei looks out toward new horizons, surrounded by ocean-blue carpet with glowing, bioluminescent colors and a chandelier shaped like moving water. Keep your eyes peeled for the heart of Te Fiti hidden inside it. Your kids are going to LOVE hunting for that one!
Disney Believe Entertainment: Encanto, Zootopia, and More
Disney Cruise Line has some of the best family-friendly entertainment at sea. This is the part that always has my clients buzzing!

- Disney Encanto: the world’s first stage adaptation of Encanto, and you can ONLY see it on the Disney Believe. The show follows Mirabel’s journey to save her family and their magical home, with colorful costumes, traditional dance, and the movie’s biggest hits like “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” and “Surface Pressure.”
- Tangled: The Musical: a fan favorite from the Disney Magic, coming back with a reimagined set and special effects made just for this ship!
- Disney Seas the Adventure: the Wish class original show packed with Disney and Pixar characters and songs.
- Gazelle: a brand-new space inspired by the city in Zootopia. During the day, think trivia, games, and character meet-and-greets. At night, it turns into an adult-only space with silent discos and variety acts.
- A Zootopia family show: for the first time ever on Disney Cruise Line, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde star in their own show, and YOUR family helps them crack the case!

Classic favorites are coming back too, including Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party, Hero Zone, Disney Uncharted Adventure, and the Wonderland and Never Land cinemas. And yes, the AquaMouse water coaster returns with brand-new Mickey and Minnie adventures!
Disney Believe Dining: A Frozen Family Feast!
In case you didn’t know, Disney cruises use rotational dining. That means your family will move to a new main restaurant each night (and your servers come right along with you). On the Disney Believe, that rotation includes a brand-new spot:

- Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast: a new, never-before-told Frozen story set in a summer cottage courtyard in the forest. Oaken and his family host you for dinner while his musical cousins play their own spin on Frozen favorites. Don’t worry: Anna and Kristoff make an appearance during dinner, too!
- 1923: the elegant restaurant celebrating Disney animation history, returning from the Wish class.
- Worlds of Marvel: back with the “Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix” dinner show.
Outside of dinner, here’s where you’ll enjoy snacking:
- Inside Out: Joyful Sweets for specialty desserts (available for purchase)
- Big Hero Sips, a cozy coffee shop inspired by San Fransokyo
- Café Kakamora, a Moana-themed café named for those mischievous coconut pirates
- Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods, the open-air food court on the upper decks with barbecue, burgers, pizza, bowls, and soft-serve, plus Pluto’s Pita Platters, a Mediterranean-inspired stall you’ll only find on this ship
Just for the Grown-Ups
Moms and Dads, this section is for you! 🥂 Throw the littles into the nursery or kids’ clubs (more on those later) and experience:
- Sea Notes: a shimmering piano lounge inspired by Ariel’s grotto in The Little Mermaid, complete with a pearl-finished piano
- Wishing Well: a storybook lounge themed to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, with a canopy of white blossoms and red apples

- Skygazers: an observatory-style pub filled with bookshelves, star maps and little nods to classic Disney stories
- Haunted Mansion Parlor: the fan-favorite immersive bar is back!
- Palo Steakhouse, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud, and The Rose for adult-exclusive dining and drinks
- Quiet Cove, Senses Spa, Senses Fitness, Untangled Salon and Hook’s Barbery for some much-needed rest
Kids’ Clubs on the Disney Believe
This is where Disney cruises really shine for families. Disney-trained counselors run every space, and kids get special playtime with Disney characters!
- It’s a Small World Nursery: ages 6 months to 3 years
- Disney’s Oceaneer Club: ages 3 to 10, with an entrance themed to Monsters, Inc. (look for the “2319” caution tape, which is exclusive to this ship!)
- Edge: tweens ages 11 to 13
- Vibe: teens ages 14 to 17
As a mom of two little ones, I can tell you the nursery is a BIG deal! It means you can actually enjoy a dinner or a show while your littlest is happy and cared for.
Staterooms and Suites
Every stateroom features new papercut-style artwork inspired by stories like Moana, Coco, and The Lion King. A few spaces worth knowing about:
- Concierge: an Alice in Wonderland-themed Concierge Lounge, a private sun deck with complimentary food and drinks, and Peter Pan artwork in concierge staterooms
- Toy Story oceanview rooms: just seven of these themed rooms, with floor-to-ceiling windows
- Royal Reef Suites: inspired by The Little Mermaid, with teal and coral tones and shell details
- Royal Rose Suites: inspired by Beauty and the Beast, with one bedroom in Belle’s gold and blue and the other in the Beast’s deep sapphire
- Believe Tower Suite: a one-of-a-kind, two-story suite built into the forward funnel. It’s nearly 2,000 square feet, sleeps eight, and has two main bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. Each room is themed to a different land in Magic Kingdom Park!

PRO TIP: specialty rooms like the Toy Story oceanviews and the Tower Suite are extremely limited. If one of those is on your wish list, reach out sooner rather than later!
Should you book the Disney Believe now?
Not gonna lie… brand-new Disney ships book up FAST, especially the first few months of sailings. If you’re hoping to be onboard in the inaugural season, NOW is the time to start the conversation. If you’re more of a “let them work out the kinks first” kind of family, that’s totally okay too! I’m happy to help you figure out which sailing fits your crew.
