Description

These 6SP1 Identifying Statistical Questions task cards are LOW PREP and great for small group, center activities, intervention periods, and early finishers. QR Codes make these cards SELF-CHECKING for independent use! Students are responsible for inserting grouping symbols to make each equation true.

6.SP.A.1 – Recognize a statistical question as one that anticipates variability in the data related to the question and accounts for it in the answers. For example, โ€œHow old am I?โ€ is not a statistical question, but โ€œHow old are the students in my school?โ€ is a statistical question because one anticipates variability in studentsโ€™ ages.

PRINTING DIRECTIONS: Task cards with QR should be printed using the โ€œprint to fit pageโ€ option and cut into fourths for student use. Task cards have been formatted to show the correct answer on the back of each card. Please check your printer settings for double-sided printing. Mine usually requires me to “flip on short end.”

TABLE OF CONTENTS – WHAT’S INCLUDED:

  • โ†’ 24 color task cards WITH QR codes for self-check
