Teacher Appreciation Week: Deals and Steals for 2020

May 3, 2020 4 min read

May 4th – 8th is Teacher Appreciation Week. For all the educators near and far, please know YOU ARE SO LOVED! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all you do. With a smile on your face and a whole lot of grace, I see and appreciate how you show up every day to make this world a better place.

To show my appreciation, I am running the following promotions in my TeachersPayTeachers store, but act quickly! Most are only valid for 24 hours. Check this post daily for details.

Monday, May 4th: Enjoy 50% off of select bundles (TpT search: #thankUday1). Bundles are actually a collection of several individual products grouped and discounted for maximum savings.

If you are looking to use interactive notebooks in a 5th grade math class, my megabundle would work for you. This bundle covers all fifth grade math content standard domains and strands. It includes close to 30 individual products (28 to be exact), with each product containing anywhere between 4-10 foldable activities for student practice.

Designed with composition notebook use in mind, activities print two to a page for ideal sizing. Valued at $162.50, this fifth grade math bundle is on sale for $81.25 today.

If you don’t teach math, not to worry. ELA friends, I’ve got a deal for you as well! My Making Words bundle is a fun independent literacy station activity. Students of all ages enjoy manipulating the letter pieces to create as many words as they can. This activity helps teach students the necessary skills for decoding unfamiliar words while providing a hands-on, interactive way for learning spelling patterns. Answer keys are provided, as well as 5 or more different activity mats for each calendar month! Valued at $51.00, you can grab the whole year for $25.50 today only!

Tuesday, May 5th: Today, I bring you two products on sale for $2.00 (TpT search: #thankUday2). Yesterday, New Jersey joined the states in officially closing all school buildings for the remainder of the academic year. I’m now thinking ahead to September and fall and better days! If you need a cute autumn bulletin board display, these candy corn expressions are super easy! The craftivity checks student understanding for dividing fractions. Included are expressions of varying rigor for class differentiation. Fractions AND mixed numbers are found in this set, well over 50% off today only.

For my lit(eracy) friends in elementary, my low prep, print and go word work choice boards can be used with ANY student spelling list! Use the included activities for classwork (i.e. station rotations, word work center) or for weekly homework assignments. All handouts come in full letter size AND half-sheet options for interactive notebooks.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! Tuesday also starts the annual Teacher Appreciation TpT Sitewide Sale. Most Teacher Authors will have their stores on sale up to 20% and when you enter the promo code THANKYOU20 at checkout, you’ll receive an additional 5% in savings, making your total percentage up to 25% off. The sale runs now through 11:59EST tomorrow, Wednesday, May 6, 2020. This is a wonderful opportunity to grab any of my bundled products, as the already marked down resources ARE eligible for additional discounts.

Wednesday, May 6th: Happy Hump Day! Welcome to the DDD: digi-dollar days! (TpT search: #thankU) The remainder of Teacher Appreciation Week will include select Boom Card products in my store on sale for just $1.00 each. Never heard of them? It’s okay; I hadn’t either until we went to distance learning. Hosted over on the Boom Learning platform, these decks are essentially digital task cards. What makes them even more perfectly suited for remote learning is that they are highly engaging for students AND self-correcting (yup, you read that right: no grading on your end!) with available teacher reports.

Today’s digital decks are in SPANISH and appropriate for kindergarten. The first deck contains 24 cards on counting objects in groups of 1-20. The second deck on sale contains 24 cards comparing groups of 1-20. REMINDER: Today is the last day of the TpT Teacher Appreciation Sitewide Sale. Enter THANKYOU20 at checkout before midnight to receive an additional 5% off!

Thursday, May 7th: Digi-dollar day 2! (TpT search: #thankU) If you’re looking for some review material while remote teaching, I’ve got whole number and decimal options on sale today. Both sets include 24 full-color digital task cards reading, writing, and expressing numerals in various forms. Students will be asked to record their answers in standard form, word form, and expanded form. The cards vary in response type as well: some answers are fill-in-the-blank while others require a multiple-choice selection.

Friday, May 8th: Digi-dollar day 3 and the conclusion of Teacher Appreciation Week! (TpT search: #thankU) These Boom decks involve the division of multidigit numbers. For today’s sale, I am providing 4-digit dividends divided by 1-digit and 2-digit divisors. Both sets include 24 full-color digital task cards. Students will be asked to record their answers through fill-in-the-blank.
