Y’ALL. When I tell you I didn’t know a thing about starting, let alone designing, a blog, I 100% mean it.. so I did what any poor unfortunate overwhelmed soul does: I quickly sought advice and hired help. Again, I had zero idea what I was doing, what I was looking for, or even what I wanted. I trolled the internet and by the grace of God came across Kassie Garlock‘s business page in late November. Kassie had a crazy beautiful, crazy professional portfolio, and, much to my surprise, did not charge crazy professional prices.
Aside from being affordable, Kassie was also incredibly patient. I kid you not when I say we must have emailed back and forth nearly 100 times from start to finish. I must have apologized just as many times. Kassie was sweet, knowledgeable, and responsive. She broke down every coding term and web design element known to man that felt like a foreign language to me. It was all worth it, though! Even while working over one of the busiest holiday seasons of the year, she did not disappoint:
I mean, to say I’m obsessed is an understatement! Kassie gave me a little glitz without compromising the simple clean modern look I ultimately desired. She has been an absolute pleasure to work with. I can’t thank her enough for giving me a pretty little piece of the internet!
Now that the website is up and running, I look forward to its growth and evolution. As the tagline suggests, the Teaching Principal blog will go beyond the classroom. I plan to document life (my everyday experiences), love (my passion projects), and, of course, lesson plans (my educational career)… and I hope you stick around for all of it!
ACTIONABLE STEPS: Take a look around! Ask questions. I’d love to connect. If you need help starting your own blog, contact Kassie!
