Flag Day is just around the corner! Take this week to teach students about the significance of our national flag and the principles it represents. Whether you’re looking to incorporate history lessons, arts and crafts, or community engagement, I’ve got some exciting activities to make this year’s Flag Day a memorable and educational experience for your students!
1. Flag History Lesson
Start the day with a brief history lesson on the American flag. Discuss the origins of Flag Day, the symbolism behind the stars and stripes, and the importance of national symbols. You can use multimedia resources, such as videos and interactive websites, to make the lesson engaging and informative.
2. Flag Design Challenge
