Whoa.. I blinked and back to school season was here. I blinked again and September is almost half gone?! This teaching principal sure has been busy behind the scenes remote teaching, running a small business, and, you know, living life. Lots of moving pieces were set in motion this summer and well, I’m finally ready to share. ::drumroll please:: Ladies and gents, I am SO EXCITED to announce I will be presenting at the first-ever Modern Math Teacher Virtual Conference this fall! Here’s what you need to know:

Over 15 teacher authors, myself included, specializing in different teaching strategies for upper elementary math will be presenting on their area of expertise:

This conference is geared towards the upper elementary math teacher (grades 3-5) looking to:
- use technology to enhance their teaching
- build math knowledge through conceptual understanding
- encourage real-world application of math skills
- use a cross-curricular approach to math instruction
- value collaboration
- differentiate instruction
- promote higher-level thinking
- promote the advancement of all student groups
- establish an atmosphere of high expectations for all students
Even if you are not currently an upper elementary teacher, many of the presenter’s material can be adapted for younger or older students. More details will be forthcoming on presentations so you can make informed decisions for attendance!
What is included?
Upon registering for the conference, attendees will receive:
- access to all conference content from October 10 through December 9
- presentations and content material from over 15 teacher authors
- live Q&A sessions with all presenters over the October 10-11 weekend

When and where is this happening?
The conference will happen VIRTUALLY October 10-11, 2020. Attendees will be able to pause and play conference presentations from the comfort of their home. Presenters will be available for live Q&A sessions that weekend as well.
