New Year, New Prodigy – Game Changes for 2020

Prodigy Math Game Updates for 2020

Our favorite Prodigy Math Game is rebranding for the 2020 school year! If you’ve been using Prodigy in math class for some time, you may have noticed several cosmetic changes take place this month. While their mission and gameplay remain the same, the platform’s rebranded look is brighter, bolder, and I’m 100% here for it! Take a peep yourself:

Pretty cool, right? Some other, more functional updates teachers will love with the math game’s rebranding:

  • Compatability with Clever โ€” Not only will you be able to log in to the Prodigy dashboard with your Clever credentials, but you’ll be able to use Clever for adding students to the Prodigy classroom. This integration will be such a help for teachers of younger students!
  • Parent involvement made easier โ€” Remember sending home printed invites for parents? Do you recall printing the same welcome letter 5x for the same child? No more! Now, you can send parent invites straight from the teacher dashboard. Enter parent emails you want to connect from your Students tab, no printing required!
  • Data proving Prodigy works โ€” Teachers love data! According to an independent analysis conducted earlier this year, Prodigy helps boost test scores, is easy to implement, and keeps students engaged while they learn! Share that with your building administrator next time you’re asked about best practices.
  • In-game fun for students โ€” Exciting in-game events like the Starlight Festival keep kids excited to explore the world of Prodigy Math Game. There are even some cute new stories about their favorite Prodigy pets! I’m already thinking of ways to use these short stories outside of the math classroom. I’ve linked one of the pet adventures, Wott’s Wild Flight, below:

What do you think of Prodigy Math Game and their rebranding efforts? Personally, I’m giving two thumbs up here. This is the kind of positive change I can get behind for the 2020 school year.

ACTIONABLE STEPS: But wait, there’s more! To hype you up even more, be sure to enter Prodigyโ€™s โ€œNew Year, New Classโ€ contest. There, you’ll have a chance to win iPads, Premium Memberships, and other fun prizes! If you’re signing up for the very first time and need help, do reach out. I’d be more than glad to help you get started. Happy gaming!
