Halves, Thirds, & Fourths | Color by Code Cactus (2G3)

Description

Is your fraction understanding “on point” for halves, thirds, and fourths? In this color by code mystery picture activity, students will identify and color shapes parted into 2, 3, or 4 equal shares. Students will identify halves, thirds, and fourths with both circles and rectangles. Four (4) coloring sheets are included along with an answer key.

2.G.A.3 – Partition circles and rectangles into two, three, or four equal shares, describe the shares using the words halves, thirds, half of, a third of, etc., and describe the whole as two halves, three thirds, four fourths. Recognize that equal shares of identical wholes need not have the same shape.
