Did you know every time you leave feedback on a past TeachersPayTeachers purchase you receive free cash credit towards future ones? Maybe that’s why before every announced TpT sitewide sale, it seems customers are scrambling to leave resource reviews. Each comment on a paid product gets exchanged for cash credit.
Not sure how to get started? You came to the right place! Here’s how, pictures included:
1) View “My Purchases.”
To start, log in to your TpT account. Click on the drop-down menu by your username (top right of your homepage). Click on the tab that says “My Purchases” to view.
Once you are at your purchases and downloads page, all of your recently purchased items will appear in chronological order. Under each product and seller name there is a thumbs up icon with a clickable hyperlink to “leave a review.”
2) Leave your review.
Before leaving your review, you will be asked if you have used the product. It’s not really fair to a seller and future buyers if you are commenting on something you have not yet implemented yourself. Nevertheless, you can leave TpT feedback if you no longer plan on using the purchased product for whatever reason. Just be honest in your review!
Once you are in the review, you will be asked a series of questions, mostly checkbox-type responses:
- What did you use this resource for?
- Which grades did you use this resource with? If you used this primarily with students with specific needs, you may be asked to select which groups best reflect your students. Do not skip this question! Your honest response helps potential buyers tremendously when deciding if a product would best be suited for their own students’ needs.
- Which standards did you teach, practice, or assess with this resource?
- How satisfied were you with this resource?
At the very end, you can freely write about your product experience. Let other educators know how you used the resource and what you/your students liked and disliked about the product. Again, all this information is suuuper helpful to future buyers as well as the seller. Many of the updates and products I’ve created have come from customer comments!
3) Use your earned credits!
After submitting your review, feel free to check your account balance for your credits. They can be used immediately, but heads up: you’ll need to use them in $0.05 increments. They don’t expire, either, so you can totally save them for the next big sale and stretch your dollar farther!
ACTIONABLE STEPS: Go leave TpT feedback and earn yourself some free cash! You can leave feedback whenever. Personally, I like to batch this task: I pick a day once a month to do resource reviews.. or right before a sitewide sale. Whatever works!
